I still want Trump as our nominee but I'm not into this phase of him at all.

I'd like to see him turn it around but something about leopard and its spots

perfect answer

I have no issue with Trump taking pot shots at BDR; that's politics. I do think BDR is better at the political speak than Trump is.

I'd be happy with either as my President, but the reality is that neither will be. You can't beat a rigged system

That's what happens when you are good at your job and have a record. You're a winner.

Losers deflect, make excuses, and make up shite.

I can envision DeSantis can handle any and all shite that will be thrown at him in a presidential campaign. The crap that Trump pulled in 2016 attacking his R foes will not work anymore. I have imagined how refreshing it could be to listen to DeSantis explain why China may be a threat to the US or Wokeism or immigration to rally the majority of Americans. Trump does not have that skill set.
I do think Trump was the only republican candidate who could have defeated Hillary Clinton. I am forever grateful to him for that.

Trump should retire to the golf course if he hasn't actually already and continue to hurl insults to any and all in his retirement.

Awesome response.

Desantis needs to stick to this. Stick to highlighting your record, and going after Biden and the Democrats.

If you enter the race, keep doing that. Try to highlight your differences with Trump and opponents in a positive way, not smearing.

I think he's copying a tactic that he thinks worked well in his first campaign when he attacked his main rival, Ted Cruz.
Cruz had been very respectful of Trump until then. I was fine with Cruz or Trump winning and I didn't like the Trump strategy.

Apparently he thinks it worked so he's using it against the new main rival for the nomination. It wasn't a good look then and it isn't now.

Why people are letting Trump's attacks, however low rent they seem to be, bother them is confusing - as if no one remembers at all 2015 and 2016. The man has one principle in his entire ethos and it is to "win" - he has no limits on doing what he thinks it takes to win. And he probably, justifiably so, sees Ron DeSantis as his most immediate competition. It's a game to him - and when the game is over both players can have a proverbial beer and shake hands. This is how I think he views things.

Every now and then I listen to John Fredericks, who was Trump's Chairman in Virginia in 2016 and 2020, and who will likely be his Chairman again in the Primary. He's regularly on with Bannon, too. He has been warning people for a while that more and more people are turning off to Trump whenever he makes stupid statements and are lining up behind DeSantis. He's on the ground and does bus tours and talks to these people. They say they're voting for DeSantis because they're tired of losing and are sick of Trump's shite.
