Interesting. I didn't know it worked like that. Isn't there a legal term known as "Double Jeopardy"? I guess Florida could bring additional charges.

I wish Maduro was already in Florida, but I'm guessing they had to go thru SDNY first?

They aren’t worse than the one you were in but depending on which one he would be assigned to it could be much worse than federal.

But he will always be in a special wing.

Dual Sovereign. Look up Michael Vick for an example.

But how Florida gets jurisdiction for state charges will be interesting. It's highly unlikely that would work out.

Until you get to the high level of federal prisons, most state prisons are incredibly worse. And if you get into the higher level of state prisons the same restrictions from federal are present.

Federal is almost always the way to go...unless you're a guy like Maduro
