Dershowitz Says Bannon Verdict Will Be Reversed: “The Judge Took His Defenses Away”

Attorney Alan Dershowitz said he expects the conviction to be reversed and that the decision was “entirely in violation of the constitution.”
quote:
“Entirely predictable and entirely in violation of the Constitution. The only provision of the Constitution which appears basically twice is trial by jury, in front of a fair jury. Number one he didn’t have a fair jury. Number two the judge took his defenses away from him. The judge denied him a jury trial. They wouldn’t allow him to put on evidence that he believed there was an executive privilege involved and he wanted a judicial determination before he violated the executive privilege. That issue could not be presented to the jury.
As I predicted on this show and other shows before this conviction was a foregone conclusion. The only issue is will it be reversed by an appeal. Either by the appellate court in the District of Columbia or by the Supreme Court. I think its very likely that this conviction will be reversed at some point.“

One of the first things Republicans should do when the get back control is to take all political-type prosecutions out of the jurisdiction of D.C. There should be some sort of a lottery system assigning cases to different circuits.
It's clear that with D.C. voting 95% for Democrats that the system in D.C is completely f*cking rigged.
Democrats always get off despite beyond f*cking overwhelming evidence and Republicans always get F*CKED despite there being absof*ckinglutely no basis for even an indictment.

Roger Stone, Flynn.... now Bannon and next Navarro ..
Until the shite hits the fan in November mid-terms and thats when Karma and the real GOP faithful need to take the corrupt administrative state in corrupt D.C. to the wood shed...
No Rhino MFs like Cheney, the Turtle and other Jan 6th conspirators like Schiff and Pelosy should be allowed in D.C. after mid terms

This is an often used strategy of leftists. They know litigation attacks both a victim's personal well-being and wealth and they wield it like a hammer to intimidate. They aren't as interested in conviction as in the message this sends: we can get you, anytime, anywhere.

This is the political class safety net. I’d be shocked if it could be done.

That is a major problem with the current federal judicial system. Most of the courts are in dem cities.
Not sure how, but something must be done to make federal juries fair and honest.

Alan "I kept my underwear on at Epstein Island" Dershowitz is an embarrassment.
There are three constitutional amendments on the right to vote. And regardless of that, he was tried by jury. Judges precluding bullshite arguments isn't something new.

Don’t forget those thrown away and forgotten from Jan 6. Pure political prisoners.

They knew bringing Bannon in and finding him "Guilty" would give them fodder through the election cycle.
Remember, 95% of us are stupid and a lot of us, who are really stupid, vote several times.

What? Can you clarify that 2nd sentence?

So then I assume you are of the belief that Holder should be jailed too for his contempt of congress?

Hasn't Dershowitz been wrong a lot lately? I don't keep up with everything he does but just seems like he's whiffed on a few lately.

Can't do much with just the house or even the house and a smidgen of the senate. I agree... start the investigations. Use normal or pseudo-normal committee hearing rules allowing minority representation (although, with this J6 Show Trial committee precedent, no need to go soft on the minority representation).
I am on Team Trump for 2024 with the hopes that he will run roughshod over the swamp and purge it for good. As a final term POTUS- he would have no reason not to.
Trump back in White House be like (hopefully):

I'll wait for Jeffrey Toobin to whack off a response to see what argument comes from the left.

Trump didn’t nominate good constitutional judges, maybe except for Gorsuch

Jury of democrats is not a jury, but a group of "jerry rig", liberal, green dealed, monkey pox welfare POSs.
All administrative offices need to be equally divided into blue and red states so there can be a more even distribution of political people of different mind sets..
A national "gumbo" of federal administrators if you will

there should be a betting pool on spin like this.
he's fishing for work.
I'll bet he's wrong.
Fwiw bannon wanted this.
and the opportunities for additional eyeballs for his show.
all he needed to do was appear and invoke the 5th. and its the truth. he's an unindicted coconspirator. he and Eastman.
