Any Fentanyl concentration >3 ng/ml in an individual ... the death will be attributed to the Fentanyl (and other drugs) detected.

You mean those numbers in the autopsy meant stuff?

As convincing as your link to a document to an irrelevant case is…
“There is no such thing as a ‘fatal drug concentration’ because many other factors must be considered beyond the postmortem drug concentration,” Lin said. “An important concept in cause of death determination is that multiple potential causes may be present and it is the job of the certifying medical examiner to sort through those potential causes and choose a primary cause and/or multiple contributory causes.”

Right. The coroner’s subjective judgment. We’re all on the same page now.

Would Floyd have died if he hadn’t encountered Chauvin?
Probably not.
Would a sober individual have died if he had been handled in same manner as Chauvin did Floyd?
Most definitely not.
Drugs caused the death.
Probably not.

And the jury’s. Which is why Chauvin is a convicted murderer.

Yet even your source states “Understanding that every person is different”.
Do you normally cite sources with conclusions you believe to be “medically retarded” to back up your claims?

Appeal to authority is a logical fallacy.

Yes. Sometimes the justice system is imperfect. Film at 11. You don’t get morality points for believing a subjective judgment of the coroner. You’re not a better person. You’re just telling yourself that.

quote:No. No need. It's an imbecilic statement. If I inject you with a mg of Fentanyl, then walk away, you're a dead man.

But you’re probably wrong.
I wouldn’t have a problem with a conviction against Chauvin. I think he acted callously. The department also provided training to mitigate restraint/compression asphyxiation occurrences.
The rush to make him into a racist murderer is dumb and ignores a multitude of facts. Furthermore, it’s obvious Floyd contributed to his own death.
Also, the police chief who testified that Chauvin wasn’t taught that restraint technique was an obvious lie.

Wait… you think that the author of a study on the Reliability of Postmortem Fentanyl Concentrations in Determining the Cause of Death is stating that drug overdoses don’t exist?

Shoot! I guess we have arrived back at “I should ignore the professional who previously worked for the New York City chief medical examiner’s office and co-authored a study on the reliability of postmortem fentanyl levels and instead believe the poster on an LSU sports message board with nothing to back up their claims other than ‘I don’t want to believe this so he’s wrong.’”
I don’t even know who I should believe now!
