What’s the point of? Like Trump would order our forces to hit a Girls School.

I’m surprised that the Sleeper Cells that Biden/Dems let in haven’t hit a school here. Will the Dem Party own it when it happens? Hell no. No more than they take responsibility for throat slashers walking free amongst good folk.

It was all fake talk and mind games, until it wasn’t.

Israel would. They blew up 90% of schools in Gaza

You are speculating on future events to justify the slaughter of 150+ children.

Hopefully it will make the armchair warriors cheering this like it's a video game realize that bad shite happens during these things. Innocents get killed, we have friendly fire incidents, we'll have casualties.

I don't have problem with the action so far, but I wish some of you had to smell and see war up close.

“ I don't have problem with the action so far, but I wish some of you had to smell and see war up close.”(quote Flats).

I’ll take that rebuke in good faith, F. I always think of my own beloved Granddaughters when ‘‘tis kind of stuff happens. “He that leadeth into captivity, goeth into captivity “. We own that which we support and encourage.

For Christians this is hard. Muslims not so much as their ‘Prophet’ championed the sword as a means of advancing their Religion.

We are between a rock and a hard place. Either Jesus was “ the only begotten Son of God” or he was/is not. No grey there; though Squirrel would aptly argue the opposite.

Every day.

A bus will veer off a cliff and kill 50 people somewhere this week.

The world is largely indifferent to all our struggles. It’s fine to have sympathy in these situations and your viewpoint is a good balance.

I didn’t hear it when the Iranian leadership was killing 10s of thousands.

Yes I absolutely do. I do think Hamas is evil and used civilian structures conduct military operations and I also think Israel used that as an excuse to wipe out pretty much every structure in Gaza.

In an era where we can drop a bomb within inches of a specified target, the idea something was bombed by mistake is nonsensical.

You really think schools are having classes while the country is getting the shite bombed out of it? And on a Saturday?

Because "Iran slaughtering civilians" was being defended here and needed a counterpoint?

I probably haven't spoken out here about forced female circumcision either; I guess that implies something as well. Come to think of it, have YOU condemned forced female circumcision? Should we infer something from that?

Awesome. So we agree that they were legitimate targets.

I hate it for the kids and their families, but this is why civilized countries don't put schools at missile launch sites. Muslim countries seem to have a habit of doing this.

Nice leap. Some may have been legitimate targets, but that doesn’t give you a blank check to slaughter civilians.

I don't pretend to know the details here but the fog of war is real and at some point humans have to input numbers to the magic machines. All it takes is a one mistake.

We lost a team (not all killed though) during the Not-a-War on Terror that transmitted their own GPS coordinates for a strike. They had pulled up the target coordinates, went to do something and apparently the GPS cycled and went back to their own coordinates, not those of the target. They came back to it and called in a strike on their own head.

That was the midwits on here that will believe anything someone with MAGA in their username posts on X.

Given the choice of one of two possibilities -

1 - Targeted by Islamists to generate political distraction

2 - Targeted by the US military for no logical or productive reason.

/\ I'll go with option #1 every time = period - and pray for the families of the deceased.

IF that turns out to be wrong, I'll expect a thorough accounting by our military - but I will not apologize for my original supposition - and pray for the families of the deceased.

And IF there is any malfeaseance or skullduggery involved in our responsibility for that I will expect the full weight of our criminal prosecution to fall on everyone involved.
