No, this is always their playbook. Incite, incite, incite, then when the temp gets high and they fear people have finally had enough, they call for peace, calm, etc.

I think this time, they've pushed too far over the line and they're scared.

They said the same thing the exact day Trump was shot.

A few months before the old “We need to put a target on Trump’s back” came out.

I watched Anderson Cooper last evening for the first time in about 10 years.

It took him practically no time to flip the narrative to "right wing" influencers were calling for more violence. Then he went-on to play Trump's statement last evening and accused him of ramping-up the rhetoric.

It was painful to watch the mental gymnastics of him attempting to reclaim the moral high ground on the same day a conservative commentator was shot and killed in broad daylight.

When you understand they are not really directing statements like this to other Democrats.

You bet they wanna “tone it down”. Yesterday was devastating to them and the longer it goes on, the worse it gets. So they desperately need it to tone down.

Then in a few weeks, they are back to programming their drones with “danger to democracy!”, “Literal NAZIs!”, “biggest danger is far right extremists!”, “they are coming for your ________!!!”, “they won’t let you have the care you need!”…..
