Because this is vital to our sovereignty as a nation which is absolutely imperative. I credit you for answering these and other posts, but can you not see the future of our country in 5 yrs?10 yrs max? I’d gladly Trump not run for reeelection in order to placate Dems if we could just secure our borders. Every metric of our county’s stability hinges on this one issue more than any other. Diversity is great but if we have zero traits that bind us then we are doomed.

You realize they pretty much have to do this cause the illegals have no papers and we dont want the kids being with smugglers right? You dont allow a potential smuggler to be housed with their witnesses/victims. Not to mention in the case they actually are families the shitty parents just subjected the children to weeks of walking in scorching heat during the day and freezing nights in the desert. The "cages" they're in are a much safer and more comfortable place to be than they have been in quite a long time.

You do know how funneling works, right? Walls act as a funnel. It makes people go to places you want them to go.
Know what that does?
Cuts down on the amount of drugs that get through the border.
How?
Instead of walking across an open area, they have to either scale/tunnel the wall. Which takes time. Which means it’s easier to find them. Orrrr. They are funneled into an area that is easier to monitor.
I know. I know. But but but muh ports. But but but muh 18wheelers.
Guess what? Those are more expensive routes than just waltzing across an open border. And guess what else? Those vehicle entry ways? Yeah the ones the 18 wheelers are forced to go through? They get upgraded surveillance and equipment.

What’s the great difference between the green new deal and the new new deal and the new deal? For starters the latest was the one- the one and only that kept FDR going through tough times. The others were only knockoffs because they sounded about the same offered in the last 2 years
