41 ran a massive shite show campaign and completely squandered the 91% approval rating he had in the wake of Desert Storm.
He was seen as such a lock to get re-elected that SNL ran a skit called “Democrats 1992 - The Race Not To Lose To Bush” where candidates like Cuomo, Gore, Bentsen, etc were touting their unsuitability for the office so they didn’t get skull-drug by 41.

This is insane - Bernie would win at least 165 EVs

States Which Pledge Electoral Votes To Popular Vote
Don't forget the states which are pledging their electoral votes to the popular vote winner.
This could backfire on the Libs bigly.

I did a map yesterday that was the Democrats floor and it was 180 EVs.
Id put cash on that being as low as they go. They could run Hitler and they would get every one of those states.

Trump is not going to win IL.

I don’t think he’ll win NM or Co either. I’m just saying that’s the absolute firewall for the Dems no matter who they run.

LOL. 520 is probably a stretch. But It will be a crushing defeat. Freedom loving Americans MUST send a message.
Dems need to realize actions have consequences.

Can wait to see all those states that voted for that Popular Vote interstate pact think twice about it after Trumps landslide. They would not be too happy about having to give their votes to Trump.

That reminds me... when will Team Trump challenge these new state laws in the courts... a month or two before the November elections?

Zero chance dude. Trump is not winning California, New York, Oregon, Washington, Maryland, etc.
Delusional to think that. He will win more than last election but dude is hated in some states still

Because corporations in those states don't pay their fair share of taxes. I mean have you seen how little Amazon pays?

Don’t agree with you on much but i agree, it’s in no way realistic.
As of now I’d give Trump 80% odds of winning, 50% odds of breaking 300 EVs.

Refuse to give them the views, so I can't argue the merits of the video, but In a 1-on-1 there are at least 100 ec votes that the Dems won't lose until the parties finish another round of realignment. That says, if they blatantly screw Bernie I could see him running third party and splitting the vote just enough to turn almost everything to trump

Trump Could Win 520 Electoral Votes
Trump probably wins the EC. It will be close.
Posted on 2/14/20 at 11:18 am to FrenchToast
Reagan won all but MN and DC in 1984 and he got 525. No Republican candidate for President (even if an incumbent) will ever get close to that again. You can pretty much write off NY and CA as perma Dem from here on out (which is 29 and 55 votes, respectively).

but is this even realistic, 520 in the electoral college?
Not even close. The Democrats have 150+ EC votes baked in regardless of their candidate.

And I think that would be a safe bet.
Now, look - it is possible for Trump to flip "union" blue states like Jersey against Bernie (on an absolutely perfect day), but that would likely be balanced out by Bernie still being competitive and pulling out Nevada and Colorado (as just one example of how those flips could work out.)
The rest of your blue "floor" states all look pretty safe to me - that's a fairly optimistic map for Trump, pessimistic for any Dem other than Bernie and probably Bernie/Hillary 2.0's hard floor.
Nice work.

Thanks. I think it’s a fair look at it.
Nevada, CO, NM, Minnesota are all flipable by the running the wrong democrat and the right economic situation for Trump. Like you said, it will take the perfect scenario.
I’d say he keeps everything he had in 2016 and maybe win one or 2 of those at best. Some weird arse state like Delaware or Rhode Island could flip but I don’t count on it.

LOL, just LOL. Trump is a 45-46% President and he will never be more than that. If he were to win again in 2020, it would be like 2016: lose popular vote and win a few crucial states narrowly.
