Yeah, it's just a YT video... but is this even realistic, 520 in the electoral college?

Seems like their hostile takeover of the Dem Party didn't work out like they thought it would.
I hope Alex Jones goes and trolls them again on election night if Trump wins in a landslide.

There are 10 states that would vote for anyone but Trump.

I mean, California alone has like 55 electoral votes, right? And they would vote for Fidel Castro over Trump.
Bernie would get slaughtered but the DNC isn't going to allow that to happen. Bloomberg is going to get the nomination and in all honesty probably gives Dems their best chance.
Like it or not there are a lot of people looking to vote for anyone but Trump.

People don't fully grasp how far gone many states are.

If Bernie gets screwed, he’s going 3rd party. He won’t win either way, but a 3rd party run keeps him relevant for a few more months and will load his coffers for the rest of his twighlight.

The Bern going third party would be glorious.
He's too much of a pussy to do it though. And the other dems really are not that different from him if you look at their policies versus just listening to what comes out of their mouths.

That would be hilarious but he won't do it.

I have a feeling that you are right about this. One great consolation is that if Bernie gets screwed again, a lot of his supporters will just stay home on election day and not vote at all.

The only think this dude is missing, and it isn't a small thing, is that the country was 85% white 8n 1972. Sadly*, the percentage of whites is now more like 65%.
That being said, I still think Poole's point is valid. Trump is going to open up a can of whoop-arse on these anti-American, left-wing kooks.
* I say it's sad that America is no longer 85% white because, well, it was simply a much better country then. As minorities have increased, we've seen complete fools like AOC and Hank Johnson elected to run (ruin?) the government. Just look at the Congressional Black Congress. They have about 45 members or so, and not a single member is worth a shite.
Not to mention the fact that the reason California doesn't elect Governors like Ronald Reagan anymore is because of the mass influx of minorities. They swing elections in favor of white scumbags like Jerry Brown and Gavin Newsom.

I don't see how Dems lose any of approximately 10 states, starting with huge EV states like California and NY. Throw in a few other guaranteed states (even for Bernie), and a Democrat has a hard floor of well over 100, probably closer to 135 EVs.
That is also true on the R side, with Texas and the Deep South giving a Republican a hard floor of about 90 or so.
The days of 1972 and 1984 are over. Even Clinton's 70% share of the EC in 1996 would likely be unheard of in 2020. However, if Trump bumps up just 20 to 25 EVs over his 2016 numbers, that will be in 60% range and good enough for bragging rights. BHO was the first 2-term guy to win with a dip in the EC since FDR in 1940 and again in 1944 (and, to be completely fair, those were his 3rd and 4th rodeos, not second).
That was the trend, though - as both Clinton and W. had only modest bumps in re-election EVs (9 and 15 respectively).

There is no way he could get 520. He might get 300 again but that's it

Can wait to see all those states that voted for that Popular Vote interstate pact think twice about it after Trumps landslide. They would not be too happy about having to give their votes to Trump.

This is the same kind of fear mongering Republicans tried to use against Trump.
It won't work.
I hope Trump's team doesn't underestimate any candidate though.
Don't be Hillary.

Let's be honest. The dem nominee, no matter who it is, could get up on stage in a Klan robe, rape a small boy, then rape a horse, then bathe in the blood of a few infants, lynch a few black people, bring back slavery for all minorities, then recreate a stirring rendition of "two girls, one cup" and left wing whackadoodles would still vote for them over Trump.

I think 330 to 340 is possible, but overall your sentiment is correct. Ds and Rs have a relatively hard ceiling in the mid 300s in the current political climate.
The last guy to crack 400 EVs was George Herbert Walker Bush and he was under 175 in just 4 years. :letthatsinkin:

Bloomberg is going to get the nomination and in all honesty probably gives Dems their best chance.
