Gas prices are part of the economy, stupid.

High gas prices increase costs of shipping (and everything else using petro).
Increase costs to business means smaller profit margins.
Smaller profit margins means increased prices, layoffs, or both.

You actually thought higher gas/diesel/oil prices only impacted your gas tank?

We are heading I believe in the right direction. Slowly. But slowly is no aid to mid terms and the party in power. I guess the house goes Dim Senate Pubs.

I just returned from Baton Rouge yesterday, gas is nearly $4 a gallon. I'm not sure how many in the state of Louisiana can afford that.

As I recall people voted GOP because of price of eggs and economy was supposedly terrible under Biden, well the economy is definitely in the tank right now and it’s on GOP

It is. Democrats are going to win because Republicans stand for nothing, and lie to their voters.

The attorneys name is Brad Edwards. This is from Wiki:

quote:

In 2009, Edwards noted that Trump was cooperative and provided useful information to attorneys representing the victims, contrasting with others associated with Epstein.

Trump also banned Epstein from all of his properties in 2007. This is all readily available information. You opine with arrogance from a place of complete ignorance.

Please describe the most recent battle of this “war.” Thanks in advance.

A supertanker was recently chartered to sail from the U.S. Gulf Coast to China for $76 million, a source familiar told CNBC, as shipping costs soar globally due to the crisis in the Middle East.

The Alexandros was chartered by the trading firm Trafigura and is expected to load around Nov. 19, the source said. A normal rate for the route based on pre-war levels would be $7 million to $10 million.

The cost of the journey comes to $38 per barrel of oil assuming the tanker holds 2 million barrels. Shipping costs have exploded as the war in the Persian Gulf has led to a shortage of available tankers.
One big problem with rising energy prices is, the cost of transport CNBC

Oil is at $88 a barrel. That is not high. Try again.

Like it or not high gas prices are a very visible sign to the masses of what is happening in the economy

Pitiful job numbers are another indicator hurting Trump

Groceries have continued to inflate, the Fed had to increase interest rates to try to curb inflation and now 30 year yields are as high as they've been since 2002.

To pretend that gas prices are the only economic indicator that is hurting Trump is naive, which sort of supports your point.

The economy and jobs are actually good right now.

The jobs reports have not been very good unfortunately. Perhaps some of that is due to AI. It's not a winning issue for Trump if you actually look at the numbers.

You can keep clinging to this but everyone on here has eyes and can see how expensive everything is and the increases since March 1st of this year which just happens to align with this war you say isn’t happening. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence and it’s nothing but evil greedy corporations out to ‘get’ Trump.

Rocket ships and feathers. It’s gonna take a minute to come down but there’s no reason why you should be mad about what he’s pointing out. It’s also ignorant to think corporations do what Trump wants. Prices remain high because of inflation and aren’t coming down. You complaining about it daily isn’t going to do shite either. If you can’t afford it , log off and make some cash.
