So why did the dems spend 10's of millions of dollars in Republican primaries so they could run against Trump followers? They are evil, not stupid.
And what is the evidence that the dems can't beat Trump? Seems like they can, have already done, and would almost assuredly beat him again. He is so much more hated that in 2016.

At bare minimum, they are using Desantis to divide and conquer. It’s working- probably better than intended.

They are not worried about beating either of them. They cheat so it’s a far gone conclusion. This is more of the divide and conquer strategy. It’s also a chance to get the masses so wrapped up in the dog and pony show they have more opportunity to work behind the scenes money laundering, child trafficking, destroying our country, and implementing the great reset.

Because they can pull DeSantis in to the establishment far more than they can pull Trump in. Ideally they want a frick boi like Jeb Bush, but DeSantis will do.
