Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried announced Tuesday she'll seek the Democratic nomination for governor, calling Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis an authoritarian who's putting his party and political ambition ahead of Floridians.

If recent history is any guide, Nikki Fried becomes a national media darling, raises an assload of money from across the country especially from New York and California, earns an excited "toss-up" status from a few tilted polls, and then ultimately loses to DeSantis by a comfortable margin.

She has no chance. She has had complaints from Floridians that she is stalling the CCW permits of which I can attest to. This is not a good look for her.

Anyone that can win Florida comfortably like that is a beast of a candidate.
Also, fwiw, Trump improved his 2016 Florida margin by 2.3 points in 2020, going from 49.02 to 51.22%.

He already did that in 2019 in cleaning up Broward and the Miami metro area and further added to it this year by banning Zucker bucks, banning ballot harvesting, banning mass mailing of ballots, and making voter identification safeguards stronger.
The man is laser focused on getting results. It's like he gets his high from that.
