The tweeter

For you guys, and myself, that want to know what Latinx is, and apparently actual Latinos don’t like the phrase.

quote:

The term was coined by "woke" Democrats to include non-binary voices in an effort to alter the standard use of default gender nouns in Spanish.  A Bendixen&Amandi International poll first reported by Politico found that only 2% of Latino voters use the term "Latinx," while 40% said the term "bothered them."

and the Latino congressman in the tweet has had enough.

quote:

"To be clear my office is not allowed to use "Latinx" in official communications. When Latino politicos use the term it is largely to appease white rich progressives who think that is the term we use," Gallego wrote. "It is a vicious circle of confirmation bias."

Besides the fact that it makes no grammatical sense in Spanish?

No such thing as a neuter in a Romance language.

This has been known for a long time but for some reason, white liberals refuse to let it go.

When he supports the Democrat platform and Democrat politicians, he deserves this.

I remember a NYT article c. 1990 that said only 3% of blacks approved the term "African-American"

They will keep at it until we all submit

Yep. If you look at Facebook posts that use it, the vast majority of them hate it.

Add this to the new public school curriculum for teaching Spanish.

Common core still reigns supreme as the dumbest shite ever

Like every fricking stupid pronoun people identify with except he/him and she/her, which should not require any extra emphasis or identification.

La-Tinks sounds like a fat ghetto stripper with a C-Section scar on the day shift at the club on the wrong side of town

African Americans should only be used for Africans who migrated to and became American citizens. Or better yet, just call them Americans.

My wife is from Venezuela and hates this term. None of our Latino friends like it or use it at all. My wife even corrected two of my friends telling them that LatinX is not a real thing and is a distraction from the real problems going on in the Latin American community and to stop using the term because it makes them feel like they are doing something about nothing.

As a half Latino, I never heard of this crap until a few years ago and I thought that’s what Latino trannies said. My family in Costa Rica never heard of it either and they thought maybe that was for gays. It aggravates me when I hear famous latinos say it hoping they didn’t go along with that crap but oh well.
