So the implication here is that Trump voters are illiterate and/or uneducated.

That's really gonna get voters to come back!

News deserts, the left loves making up new terms

I swear liberals should really get out to the Midwest some time. Their smug asses might actually learn something about their fellow Americans.

The more back handed “Trump voters are uneducated” stories and attitude from the left, the more confident I am in 2020

My wife and I have a little game going with our local fish wrap.

I was ranting one day and all they cover is racial issues and she was laughing at me and didn't think I was serious.

I started taking pictures of the front page everyday and sending it to her. We're up to 11 days in a row where that's the lead story.

It really is pathetic.

You also have to love anyone trying to call not having a newspaper a "news desert" in 2018.

Counties that

A) Aren't influenced by newspapers.

B) Realize it's 2018 and we don't need newspapers to access the stories we want anymore.

But they play this as the uneducated rednecks who can't read a newspaper, when really, it's just that most people don't care about the newspaper anymore.

So Hillary's voters are too stupid to know you can get news for free online?

"Newspaper Circulation Rates" are much higher in urban areas because population density is higher.

Democrats do better in urban areas full of poor people and young people.

Fake arse bullshite article.

I would bet $3.50 that if you re-ran this statistic as "newspaper circulation rates per capita" it would have the opposite result.

Older and rural people are more likely to take a newspaper than a cultcha warrior or college student.

The result would be "Trump does better with people who read newspapers" but that's not the point Politico wants to make.

This is a dumb graphic. Well, the argument the try to make with this graphic is dumb. What it shows is that Trump won more counties than Clinton...regardless of level of newspaper circulation.

If you take the first ten columns (going right to left), Trump won 30 counties compared to Clinton's 18. If you go out to 15, it's 50 to 34 Trump. After that, the results look to skew more heavily Trump. (All based on a quick count, so my numbers could be wrong.)

This graphic doesn't support their argument in the least.
