Most people won't support it.

Besides, Trump has another budget fight coming up. He could have used DACA as a bargain tool to get more funding.

In the future, Democrats will be able to declare a national health care emergency and put single payer nationwide coverage in place. Democrats must be pleased with where this is leading.

They cant use DACA as a chip until the loony 9th circuit is overruled on their terrible decision.

If AOC ever comes to power, you can kiss this country goodbye if Trump sets this precedent and gets away with it. She or someone like her would make one of her first orders in office to nationalize all corporations to fight global warming. She would make the New Green Deal as is the new law of the land. It would be Red October. He can not set this precedent.

The country would end that day and there would be warranted violence against POTUS and every......single.......Congressperson. Fact.

Take a look at what they involve:

Iran, nuclear weapons, Palestine, Colombian narcos, Sudan, the Balkans, Zimbabwe, post-9/11 action, Belarus, Congo, North Korea, Somalia, Libya, Yemen, Crimea, Chinese cyber-attacks, Nicaragua.

Essentially zero of that is relevant to domestic policy.

This is a shite precedent, and it's the kind of thing that will come back to bite conservatives in the arse. And to think we all (rightfully) complained about Obama's abuse of EO's.

Can't wait for the national emergency on gun control or climate change.

Another example of your weak minded sky screaming.

You dumb mother frickers are trying to compare building infrastructure that has a history of being approved and funded by Congress with stripping the 2nd and 5th amendments.

Are you that fricking stupid to not see the difference?

It’s not the Declararion that scares me.

It’s him declaring the emergency, then getting challenged on his authority, and having the issue appealed to the USSCT who then rules in Trump’s favor.

Then. When AOC or the moron with the scarf is elected, we have a USSCT decision saying that the POTUS can do anything if it’s a national emergency.

Next thing you know Global warming is a national emergency that only socialism can cure. And we’re fricked. We have an precedent that there’s no way we can get reversed.

Yeah, I can never see a radical doing something radical unless there's precedent.

Protecting the frontier is the number one responsibility of the national government and its commander in chief.

The legislature has proven itself inept in this most basic function.

The only person acting responsibly is Trump and he has been left with no other choices in carrying out his oath of office since members of congress have abandoned theirs.

Wrong. Under normal circumstances this is correct. This is not normal. Public supports border security and immigration controls so this is big. Second, people understand the dems anti-wall stance is pure politics. Third, most people have had enough of the gridlock. Fourth... Trump is awesome and the voters know it. He is doing what is in the best interest of CITIZENS of this country.

There is no provision in the government for national health care. You must not know this. Good lawd you people are funny.

Bull fricking shite. This wall does nothing to hinder the immigration problem. People coming in from the southern border has been on the decline for the last 10 years. This does nothing to fix the real problem of people overstaying their visas and just not leaving.

Real immigration reform isn't building a vanity wall. And declaring a national emergency to build a wall that is equivalent to putting a cork in a dam leak just opens the door for the shitty democrats to do something equally moronic.
