There has rarely been a time in our country that our party has needed real leaders and leadership from the conservative side more than right now.

Where are those leaders? Where is that leadership?

I keep watching them eat each other or give each other hand jobs while the country waits and burns.

I don’t have an alternative. I won’t vote for the nuts on the left. They are literally crazy. But WTF?

This is like living in the twilight zone. The world is burning and petty differences and worries about future elections in home states are preventing unification of a party to try to save it?

However this turns out, it’s going to take a long time for me to forgive this petty shite.

I thought that we were the voice of reason in hard times. The eye of the hurricane. I was wrong.

I don't think they should have to unite. They should have arguments, debates, and disagreements. These representatives shouldn't really be voting on what they, personally, think. They should be voting based on what the majority of their constituents think. Are they- no. How do we know- other than voting do they seek out the opinion of their constituents- no. They call the big donors. They'll invite you to call or communicate with their office. But they do not SEEK OUT such information even though it is their duty, sworn duty.

However, the only reason R's need this unity is because the other side like good little Marxists have no problem eating their own and will vote on personal ideology every time. If the Dims had any interest at all in debate, disagreements, and intellectually honest arguments such block participation by the Reeeepublicans wouldn't be necessary.

The problem is you do not realize that most republicans in congress actually agree more with the democrats on most issues. Gaetz is shining a very bright light on that subject.

Even the wise forget their wisdom if they're offered enough money. It also causes them to forget their constituents.

Nope.

That's not how the country was designed, and if that's all they are supposed to do then they are obsolete (which is why the country wasn't designed that way fro the get). We should just vote by a show of hands, so to speak.

THAT'S a GREAT idea.

That’s not how a republic works.

Such drama. What would you like them to do? It's good when the Congress does nothing.

So you are saying the only time a representative has a duty to seek info of what his constituents want is election time?

Any other time what the constituents want does not matter, sort of a "too late, you voted me in, so it doesn't matter what you think"?

They don't have a duty to seek/poll/obtain that info?

No, they do not. They are elected to make the best decision they can. If the electorate doesn’t like it, they can vote them out.

They're a joke. They should all be voted out.

Just give it back to the Dems.

Are they voting again today?

Why bc they don't all fall in line and do what their masters tell them to do; like the Dems?

I agree that the Reps need to get their collective shite together.

all this time it has been a mirage you have been looking at. there has always been a uni-party. the republicans have been one wing of that bird. remember the great conservative john mccain getting off his death bed to give a thumbs down on a bill to cancel obamacare. this is why the border stays open.

Maybe the RINOs & NeoCons will realize that their gig is up. The best thing that Trump and Covid did was wake up the masses to realize just how poorly their elected representatives have been performing.

Its a political stunt that will end up backfiring for Republicans who support it.

It shines a light on the stupid Democrats who can't think for themselves and vote lockstep with what their slave master tells them.

I hate that any Republican didn't support Jordan, but it highlights that Republicans are more free thanking than the idiots voting for Jefferies and Pelosi before him.

The sheep are clearly on the left.

Someone who wants to be re-elected does those things, sure.

But no, we don’t have a direct democracy. And thank god for it.

It's a beautiful thing watching this take place, tbh.

The right deserves everything they're getting.
