What a crock of shite . This is strictly being done to silence him until the election is over in hopes Trump will lose the election . This is a 30 year veteran who served his country , and is being railroaded right before our very eyes .

And this is all being done by judges. Judges who are at a level to be mentioned as possible SC justices. After the coming violence and revolution, doing away with lifetime appointments for piece of shite judges who refuse to be bound by constitutional restraints must happen.

Lawyers around here call it robitis. When someone puts that robe on, they become a different person. And Federal judges are the most authoritarian group of people in this country. They worship the government they work for.

How are they hearing a case for which no charges exist? That's not how it works...

The charges were accepted by the Court when the Defendant plead guilty

A first in America where a case goes from titled:

FLYNN VS THE U.S. GOVERNMENT

to

FLYNN VS THE JUDGE THAT TRIED THE CASE SINCE THE U.S. GOVERNMENT DECIDED NOT TO PROSECUTE

Sydney's list just got that much longer

Actually the government prosecuted the case through to a guilty plea. It was only after the defendant became a ward of the Court for sentencing purposes that the government then tried to go back and rescind the prosecution.

I never thought that I would live to see the day that the vaunted USA would spiral down to this level of Totalitarian destitution!

I'm very glad that my own level of personal sacrifice to defend the USA was not too much out of balance with the actual worthiness of said USA.

won't that be kind of tough when the DOJ like, y'know, DROPPED THE frickING CASE?

You can't make a prosecution show up to a case they don't want to try

Russian sanctions and embassy expulsions. The FBI agents didn't think he lied or intended to deceive them. This was an off-the-cuff conversation he had without any formal preparation for it.

One more partisan hook to keep things stirred up against Trump Administration. This entire circuit court should be rounded up and indicted for treason.

So why did he lie then? I just don't understand why he felt the need to lie.

I finally got around to wasting a few hours of my life and watched the Tiger King. In one of the "episodes", one of the workers says that the FBI sent three different agents in to ask him the very same questions. Just to be sure that he has his story straight.

If you say that you made a call on a Thursday, then in the next interview, say that the call was made on a Friday...you have lied. About nothing pertinent to the investigation.

Having said that, the agents initially said that Gen Flynn did not lie.

See how this works?

Which then he's simply trying to withdraw his guilty plea, which yes is a tall order if the prosecution opposes the effort, but if the prosecution signals no opposition or especially if they join in the motion.....rarely is a judge an obstacle to that effort. The only reason such is the case here is because the judge is pissy about the government being so agreeable. Judge has convinced himself that it's scandalous. Which is dumb because the government is the party that is the most in the know as to how a matter should be addressed, thus the government's broad discretion.

I know I'm not telling you anything you aren't aware of, even if you disagree. You're a lawyer if I'm not mistaken.
