Politics transcends religion. I'd ask the Archbishop: What would Jesus do? I really don't care what a mortal man thinks in this case.

Let me get this right, this Bishop is Black & is supporting the violent rioting & looting or is he just being anti Trump for no damn reason. Bet he's against walls too in the southern states, but not the Vatican. Maybe he should read what Jesus said in Nehemiah4:14. And I looked, & rose up, & said to the nobles, & to the Rulers, & to the rest of the people, Be not afraid of them, remember the Lord, which is great & terrible, & fight for your Brethren, your Sons, & your Daughters, your Wives, And Your Houses. Trump did nothing wrong Bishop.

Bruh...if you want to come in like a true Protestant and quote scripture, you might want to take a gander at when Nehemiah was written.

I already posted a link to the Catechism of the Catholic Church that gives President Trump complete justification for using police/military force to stop these riots.

Gregory is Catholic (though leftist)

I stand corrected. And in Googling, I find that the Episcopal church no longer publicly uses the term "archbishop", though it was used when I was a member decades ago. They are now "presiding" bishops.

any catholic priests that choose a side in this mess are fake. The bastards are choosing the side that will cover for their pedophilia. Same guy didn't have any comments on Pelosi holding up her bible, but has a problem with Trump doing it? LOL, he's diddling little boys and needs cover.

egregiously misused and manipulated in a fashion that violates our religious principles,

when I was asked to contribute donations to the church and the services appeal that was used to pay lawsuits by these pedos

At least you didn't have Gregory as your archbishop for the past 14 years (he was in Atlanta before going to D.C.)

Did anyone ask the Bishop for examples?

What is he suggesting the proper catholic/christian reaction should have been to a president wanting to do this instead?

Looking for the same quote attributed to this Bishop with regard to the Catholic Church using its power and cloak of secrecy regarding priests raping children.

If anyone can find it, i would appreciate it.

Anyone but OMB.

If Obama or Biden had done this, Gregory would've been kissing their asses.

The Church's public relations efforts following the major reporting of these scandals from the mid-2000's was to remind those of the small number of priests that committed these heinous acts - and to remember the tens of thousands of good Priests.

I'm flummoxed as to why this Archbishop isn't applying the same standard to the tens of thousands of good cops and not the small number of bad actors.

The presumption that this is a photo op and reprehensible, makes sense, because photo ops should be called out and communion given to the legislators that promote abortion.

Even the Churches are corrupt in DC. More sewerage above the streets than below

Because OMB. Even more so since Gregory was USCCB prez in 2002 when the Boston cases blew up and was the "clean-up" guy for D.C.

Also keep in mind that Ted McCarrick was the archbishop there years ago...really says it all.
