Catholic archbishop? I believe it. He has that undying hatred for people he doesn't even know. He just knows that he should go with the flow and throw some hate out.

Give that motherfricker a time machine and have go back in time, and he'd be the first to follow the mob and act against jesus.

People like him are why I am no longer a catholic. They have too much hate and no backbone.

The Catholic Church in America was infiltrated by hard core leftists. There are books about it.

Gregory's mentor (the late Cardinal Joseph Bernardin) was one of them, and basically set up the modern USCCB which acts as an adjunct of the Democratic Party.

As a catholic maybe he should read his own words. Also, the while the Church will stand with protesters and against racism they are not for the rioting and looting.

I mean, it wasn't bad, in fact it was a fricking awesome boss leadership move. It CERTAINLY isn't as bad as a Catholic Bishop visiting the statues of little boys at Boys Town, now is it?

I'm sure he'd say the same at JBE's every few months appearance at my Parish.

Except if that person is OMB I guess. Also, where has Trump said he wants to shut down the protesters or stop them from airing their grievances? He wants to stop the property destruction and violence - which I was told a couple of days ago were only being committed by white supremacists. So, isn't Trump wanting to stop the riots/looting a good thing because it stops white supremacists and brings the BLM message back on point?

Archbishop Gregory pointed to John Paul Il’s defense of human rights

Archbishop Gregory needs to read his own Catechism book...specifically related to war & violence:

quote:

The Church recognizes that a nation has not just the right, but the obligation to ensure the security of its citizens and to respond to an aggression, even - if only under very strict conditions - by means of military force. The Pope has stressed further that in certain other situations the community of nations has the obligation to block the hand of an aggressor, when he threatens those who cannot defend themselves.

I would have asked for an audience with DJT first. He wants something (photo op) so I ask for something in return. DJT likes making mutually beneficial deals.

I would try to convince him to have the DOJ open civil rights investigations of certain police departments like Minneapolis and Louisville. (And remind him that it would embarrass the Dems who run those cities.) Also recommend that he deschedule weed as a way of reducing the number of police encounters, and tell him to recommend that for the next 1-2 weeks to limit minor traffic stops - just give a warning over the loudspeaker when they pull over. Don't engage someone unless it's a major crime.

Well Saint Pope John Paul II meet with the guy who literally shot him three times. I think he would never turn down engaging anyone regardless of their disagreements.

Being a Catholic or anything else can be literally meaningless, if one has no real relationship with Jesus Christ.
