I think he's with Trump at the end of the day. He probably hopes and plans on being around in one role or another beyond the Trump era, so perhaps he's just throwing some fluff out there to (1) stay in the public eye a little, and (2) keep his "bridges" in tact. I'm sure Trump's aware of this tactic and may very well understand it. Just spitballing.

No he doesn't. Listen to him on the Rogan podcast, or Jocko podcast. You get 2-3 hours of him talking, and you'll have a much better idea of what he is about, than some twitter feed or news snippet.
