now you're getting off topic. what i'm saying is that when police have detained someone and they find out that individual is dangerous, could cause harm to person or property, they absolutely have a duty to stop said individual and i've confirmed this with individuals i know in law enforcement. that's what police critics don't understand. police officers are being held legally responsible for their actions in these situations so clearly the ruling that's being referring to is not pertinent. if officers can articulate danger, as in the lafayette situation, then they are absolutely authorized and even legally obligated to potentially use deadly force.

police officers may not have a civil duty to intervene (and that may be what the ruling is referring to) if they see a situation from a distance but, they absolutely have a departmental duty. so while they might not be legally obligated to intervene, they certainly are professionally obligated and could be terminated if they don't.

so again, when people criticize the police and say they shouldn't have killed the individual, they are being ignorant. officers are legally obligated to neutralize what they deem to be a threat. if that weren't the case, none of the officers in ferguson or baltimore or wherever would have gone to trial

Certain media outlets already reporting that he was unarmed... and of course.. NFL players already responding...

Let's face it, the BLM, Anti-Cop bootlickers are not interested in peace. You can have a whole discussion and they'll dismiss everything like a jackass and conjecture and explain away why violence is the answer.
