Did the guy really die?
I know he apparently took 7 shots, but all I see on the net is that he was airlifted to the hospital and his condition listed as serious.

Hey cop! I am going to my car to get my 9 and goin to pop some caps in ya.
Cop, "Don't do it!"

Of course they did. Were the people who harmed or killed those poor kids locked up for it?
Nothing to protest about because the offenders will be in jail.

Chauvin was arrested and charged 3 months ago, so why are people still protesting and looting?

why not tackle the guy as he starts walking away?

There were 4 fricking cops there....FOUR and 1....ONE stoned a-hole. They let this guy walk around the car...they followed him with weapons drawn. They allowed it to get to that point. That dude should never had made it to the left front quarter panel, much less opened the door.
This was incredibly bad procedure by the cops.
So you’re on the record that cops should Have physically assaulted him....because it’s for his own good.
I’m sure that would have played out well in the media

7 shots at close range in the back might be a bit excessive but also just walking away from the cops with guns drawn yelling don’t do it is just stupid

Joe Biden releases a statement:
How grossly irresponsible for the Biden campaign? We don’t even know the evidence yet. Seriously what if he was reaching for a gun near his front seat? If some blonde haired blue eyed Aryan was cracked out and doing that stupid shite, he’d be shot too. Plus we have no idea what happened before the film was rolling. They need to release the body cam footage to the public immediately. Shame on the Biden campaign with this.

Here’s the issue, if three cops can’t stop one guy from calmly walking to his door without executing him then they don’t need to be cops.
Look at the perps left hand as he walks in front of the police car. You can definitely see what looks like a gun that he's holding.

Powerful image. Stunning, sad really. Media driven frenzy to prioritize what the viewer's eyes are shown. The killing of Cannon Hinnant still makes me sick.

I don't believe they had body cams unfortunately...though it's not like bodycams do any good these days anyway. The mob makes up their mind before evidence surfaces and nothing will change it.

quote:now you're getting off topic. what i'm saying is that when police have detained someone and they find out that individual is dangerous, could cause harm to person or property, they absolutely have a duty to stop said individual and i've confirmed this with individuals i know in law enforcement. that's what police critics don't understand. police officers are being held legally responsible for their actions in these situations so clearly the ruling that's being referring to is not pertinent. if officers can articulate danger, as in the lafayette situation, then they are absolutely authorized and even legally obligated to potentially use deadly force.
Were you under the impression that the police had an obligation to intervene in dangerous situations?
police officers may not have a civil duty to intervene (and that may be what the ruling is referring to) if they see a situation from a distance but, they absolutely have a departmental duty. so while they might not be legally obligated to intervene, they certainly are professionally obligated and could be terminated if they don't.
so again, when people criticize the police and say they shouldn't have killed the individual, they are being ignorant. officers are legally obligated to neutralize what they deem to be a threat. if that weren't the case, none of the officers in ferguson or baltimore or wherever would have gone to trial

Let's face it, the BLM, Anti-Cop bootlickers are not interested in peace. You can have a whole discussion and they'll dismiss everything like a jackass and conjecture and explain away why violence is the answer.
They're fricking phonies, fricking fakes, they don't care about their fellow man, their Jesus complex is unfounded.
