I've been tweaking the data.
I have gone back and updated all the data to match the Worldometer site end of day numbers.
The Recoveries number is based on Total cases - deaths - active cases = Recoveries

Its probably just a timing issue with the numbers, the sites don't always line up well. Typically the Worldometers site is ahead of the Hopkins site.

I always thought worldmeters was more accurate. It's just a huge difference and JH reports less cases.

I agree with Chrome about it being a timing issue.
If I had to bet, I suspect the weekend numbers will change as some places doing tests probably collect the samples on the weekends but don't actually run the tests until they can batch them during the week.
And for deaths, I know some of the early numbers in Seattle were raised because they collected sample on patients that had died (before they died, presumably) but they had not been tested. So to echo what Chrome has said repeatedly, no number is final until the end of the day at least, and may change over the next few days.

One problem with having the graphs linked to the google sheet is that they will always show the current data, if I update the data, the graphs update..even for the posts I made in the past.
The graphs will no longer align with the screen capture of the data table for the historical posts.

No worries man, I agreed with your stance on it, I just didn't have a way to do it for the historical data. I found a source on the WoM website for the data and was able to update my data to match the WoM data going back to Feb 15th.

I know it's been said plenty of times, but wanted to reiterate as it appears the official mortality rate is leveling off at 1.2%: the mortality rate in the US is, and will continue to be, artificially high.
Because we are by and large limiting testing to people who are 1) symptomatic or 2) have been exposed to someone with a confirmed case, we are by default excluding from the "confirmed case" population anyone who is asymptomatic or who simply was not able to be tested because of a lack of available tests. The actual mortality rate is nowhere close to 1.2%. Please keep this in mind if you find someone peddling that figure to gin up panic.
