No they were all wearing masks, but took them off to have their pictures made.

So a small state like Kentucky dumping 140k tests in a single day doesn't matter? Or Texas dumping 14k positives from a single county in a single day? M'kay. If you don't thinking dumping, coupled with a massive increase in testing over the last 2 weeks isn't moving the numbers, I don't know what to say. The one day of Texas dumps this past week moves the seven day average up by 2k cases alone.

We should at least count the dead beaver as covid.

And taser people while they’re being wrestled at a high school football game for not wearing a mask, right Nim?

First time in recent memory I’ve seen Florida numbers that low. First day under 1,000 new cases in awhile.

Actually stunned. We'll see how high it gets the next couple of days. If it doesn't go above normal, that it good.

Only 8000 tests recorded. 9.2% positive. It will probably be back to 30,000 tests tomorrow.

Interesting test drop from Florida. National level we're back over 1m tests today. Positivity is next to nothing at a shade under 3.6% today. Deaths were down even for a Monday.

Feeling pretty good that we've avoided a big Labor Day bump, which is a pretty telling sign about which direction this is heading.

Are the multitude of additional tests being administered by groups like the NFL and NBA being included in these figures do you know?

That certainly should bring the positivity rate down substantially when you're testing people multiple times per week.

Don't know for sure, but I assume they are.

I've had 3 COVID tests in the last 3 weeks and I would assume they are all included somewhere.

The dirty secret is that the actual positivity rate is very low.

False positives and confirming positives make up a huge chunk of positives.

If TigerDoc is lurking, don't look now, but even the NYT is admitting that Sweden may have been right...

Sweden is under control (hopefully it stays that way)
