Hard to win in court given the immunities and biases within the system. Most prosecutors and judges may are no different than bad cops. It's a club and you ain't in it.
You may not win in court, but you did not have to spend time in the hospital, or a night in jail

The talk is important, but I would argue that the DAD is the most important part

Yep. Told my kids the same things. Cops are not your friends. Comply. Don't talk unless you get a lawyer. Interact with them as if they were scared people with a gun without any regrets if they kill you.

OP had a father..... RACIST.... lolol. Thanks OP. I hope most of our dads did the same -- mine did.

Your dad lied, most of them are pieces of dog shite and the few “good” ones aren’t good because they refuse to stand up to the shitty ones.
But I was told the same thing by my adoptive dad when they adopted me at 16. Too bad I had already had 2 run ins with the cops before I got into their home. I’ve already told my 10 year old to do whatever the cops say and his lawyer mom and I will deal with the shithead cops afterwards.

Sorry guys but as I follow this discussion, I am pretty sure I am "Dad", here. With all due respect, of course. My 2 sons are approaching 40.
I was told, as a kid that, if I were lost, or in trouble, to find a friendly officer of the law. My talk with my kids was very different, and it was to keep your damn mouth shut.
Our society, in general has changed since my time, of course and so has the "Peace Officer" duties.
Then again, I also remember what a "Fair Fight" was.

Did your friend get revenge on the cop?

The excuses are in your mind idiot stick. Just good sound advice on how to avoid trouble. You sound like a loser making excuses for your rotten "luck" of being a frick up. The police make mistakes but the are not the ones making the screwed up no knock laws. That's politicians. I've made it to 74 with no trouble with John Law because I don't run my mouth out of school. It ain't hard.

Because it's measured street justice. It works great especially with teens that know they are being mischievous. They learn the lesson real quick without all the bureaucracy.
Yes...
It would have been much worse if they called your parents.

We’re all of them openly horrible racist like CNN told me?

Told both my sons when I knew they were frequent visitors to The Quarter, legally, "when you see a NOPD officer, immediately turn and walk away. " Also told them to NEVER piss in the street in The Quarter, automatic jail time.

It does stand until you see the dramatic differences in how white citizens are allowed to yell, berate and criticize officers.
That's when the imbalance becomes a problem for black people.

Really?
I guess you expect absolute perfection then, right?
Good luck with those expectations. While it isn't bad to want that, it will never happen.
I think the point is, law enforcement agents should be held to a higher standard than people in other professions. Same with surgeons, politicians, Etc. With great power comes great responsibility.
