Dang, your priest is a hard arse. My last penance was to thank God for the blessings in my life.

fun fact: you don't need to do your penance for absolution to stick

But that doesn't make what he posted blasphemous.

Trump obviously didn't make the AI picture, however his narcissist nature would allow him to ignore it and let it die like a normal adult in a position of leadership would do.

Trumps juvenile schtick was much more tolerable when he was actually making America great again.

Young Americans especially are discovering that 2,000 years of Catholic teaching offers more wisdom than whatever nonsense is trending on TikTok this week.

I mean this without spite

A ton of the return to Catholicism trend among young people is driven precisely by social media and influencers

As a Christian, I'm always iffy on this stuff - if it sticks, great, if it dilutes and leads people astray - bad.

Appointing Leo as Pope was meant to have this effect. That was part of their calculus. Losing US Catholics would hurt the economic outlook of the Catholic Church. It was a smart business move to choose the Pope from America instead of an aging and dying Europe.

Not. the burn you think it is. All members of apostolic churches actually have contrition and hold themselves accountable for their actions unlike pastor Bill and non believers.

Edit: edited the first word to correct it.

everyday Americans are hungering for something real, something rooted in actual truth rather than the gender-fluid fantasies of college campuses.
Several traditions are seeing upticks in younger people in particular joining their rolls. The Orthodox Church has seen a big boost, as well. My conservative Presbyterian congregation has seen a big influx of people joining or ready to join in the last year.

How is that different than mostly gay men running around pretending to be godly adorned in Robes?

As a Catholic, I am saying this in the nicest tone I can muster...lighten up Francis. It was just a joke.

Nobody clearly identifies or defines “Woke” or the Left’s “radical agenda”. Those are just nebulous terms to toss at something the person disagrees with.
Sometimes the most benign or relatively mainstream opinion is derided as “woke”. It’s a lazy way of thinking…

Not really.

And no thanks. Some of us see this as information warfare and are in it til the end.

Trust me bro.

Don’t be mad at the Catholic Church because the youth are rejecting the feminine men in flannels waving tranny flags at your churches.

I really don’t think it is as big of a thing as some people think. But I am a part of this pipeline.

As somebody who grew up Baptist, this is basically the conclusion I came to about Protestant churches, funny enough.

Can you explain the joke? Even as an attempt at humor, it didn't make sense.
