can do any damn thing I want as long as I make it to Sunday. A little visit with the priest in a box and 7 Our Fathers and 13 Hail Marys later, I am absolved of everything!
Yea it doesn’t work this way

Easiest during your short time on earth
Not so much after

The Red Cross? Allegedly one of the biggest financial black holes for helping others...20% gets to those in need. Is an international influencer

Oh look, a supporting news report in the midst of an Axelrod/Democrats/Pope/Cardinals/Media blitz to try to make Catholics love abortion.
Didn't see that coming at all

Yeah but how many molestations did you have to do?

...as opposed to what? That is by far tougher than what non Catholics believe needs to be done for forgiveness.
Hell, being a non-believer (you) is the easiest because forgiveness isn't even a concern.
As opposed to being genuinely sorry for your actions and working to not doing it again. When all you have to do for forgiveness is recite some words, it doesn't encourage people to change.
Magic words and rituals don't bring absolution, only God can through faith and sincerity.
I don't really consider saying a few words to be "tough." I also don't need a priest to tell me what to do for forgiveness, especially when it's always the same. I just listen to God.
Catholics put too much faith in the institution instead of The Man himself.

Even better is the Protestant Doctrine of Eternal Security. When clothed with the Righteousness of Eternal Security, your Salvation in Heaven is Eternally Secured and CANNOT be lost under any circumstances, no matter what Sins you may commit, past, present or future. Under the Doctrine of Eternal Security, ALL of your Sins, Past, Present AND Future, are already Forgiven, and so no matter what you do, you will be in Heaven.
Eternal Security is MUCH much better than Confession, because with Eternal Security you don't have to do anything at all - you are going to Heaven no matter what, because you are Predestined to go there.
With Confession you have to (yuck) CONFESS your sins vocally and in front of a Priest.

Eternal Security Doctrine doesn't require you do be sorry or do anything because your Sins are already forgiven. Past, Present and Future Sins already forgiven.
MUCH better than Confession.

Nobody clearly identifies or defines “Woke” or the Left’s “radical agenda”. Those are just nebulous terms to toss at something the person disagrees with.
Sometimes the most benign or relatively mainstream opinion is derided as “woke”. It’s a lazy way of thinking…
We are all just a bunch anti-intellectual hicks too stupid to know what is really happening and what is good for us.

Leftist policies tend to be very destructive, unless they are firmly leashed to a solid bedrock of conservative salt-of-the-earth values.

Does everyone here just regurgitate right wing media ideologies?? Genuinely curious, just signed up yesterday because my cousin said I should check it out.

The vast majority of posters do, but not everyone.

You completely don't get it.
Catholicism is the most authentic form of Christianity.

Yes. That’s the norm. Lots of thoughtless tribalism but there are a handful of thoughtful posters who engage in some interesting discussions. I like to think I’m one of them.
Lots of “the left is evil” and “Libs are the devil” type threads and posts. Lots of Trump idolatry (which I still don’t understand). Lots of random personal attacks if someone shares a different perspective.
It’s a lot like middle school.

Oh, ok! Thank you for the reply
My take is; we're all in this together, might as well be pleasant.
Again, thanks for reading
