Gordon is a career CIA/intel person. She was in line to be the head of national intelligence but Trump wanted someone else. She resigned a while back.

You don't get to know that. And, because it's a "whistleblower", you don't get to know who is making the charge.
However, you do get the comfort of knowing that this anonymous person was extremely troubled and should assume that he/she is acting honestly, and not for political or personal interests.
Of course, that would require you to believe that Trump is actively working against the United States' best interest and instead for foreign governments. And, you'd have to believe that his "promises" were things that are so serious that it would meet the standard of someone needing to step in and usurp the power of the Presidency.

Apparently Trump asked the Ukraine to fully investigate Bidens son being bribed and Biden braging that he extorted the Ukrainian government.

But these IC leaks that get the MSM hair on fire only to fizzle out to a nothingburger are becoming more and more common. The last one was about Trump exposing a U.S. spy in Russia that had to be exfilitrated back to the U.S. to save his life only to find out 24 hours later it was the media that exposed this US spy.
I believe the IC is leaking these kind of things to time the release of declassed FISA material and distract and muddle the public. It doesn't seem to be working.
