I suppose it's a start? There were rioters in dc who firebombed cars during the inauguration.. who didn't serve any jail time.

I watched the video. Three guys in their 60s are sitting at a breakfast counter talking and otherwise minding their own business.
One of Tigerdoc’s people walks up and slaps a wet paper towel on the hat then run/walks away.
Then he comes back after a short bit and lunges over a table to spit on the old guy.
That dude is just another shite head progstain that has never been punched in the nose.

Ah the ole wet paper towel on hat move. Haven't seen that one since '93. Really though, who does that? I'm going to go ahead and go out on that controversial limb and surmise that there's diagnosable mental illness there. And that mugshot....dude doesn't look right to me. One of the problems with our society (and mainly on the radical left) is we can't just agree to disagree with people
Freedom of speech is one of the most important things about our society. If you're that triggered about someone's hat that you feel the need to assault them then you deserve the 90 days in jail to teach your ilk a lesson

An assault is an assault, and he deserved a conviction, but 90 days seems excessive for an assault that produced no physical injuries to the victim.
I wonder whether this guy has recidivism issues or made as arse of himself in court by political grandstanding. The whole “this is exciting” nonsense tends to support the latter theory.

I'd normally agree
But in this case the assault was with the explicit intent to squelch freedom of speech. In instances where the intent is tantamount to shitting on important bill of rights issues I have no issue with the sentencing being harsher than usual.
