Coulter Rule, on the clock

So some dude lit out of Birmingham at 4AM yesterday at 100 MPH, dragging the law 115 miles away, into West Georgia, on I-20. He then spun out, jumped out, and started firing at the cops, who fired back and disabled (but sadly didn’t kill) him. They hauled him to ATL for treatment, stopped traffic cold for four hours, and leisurely investigated.

I had a friend stuck in that 50 mile unmoving backup asking me why they stopped traffics for so long. I explained that this is Christmas for law enforcement, a chance to measure and investigate, and chat about it on site, and cover their bases on an offices involved shooting so they don’t get sued, and that they don’t give a damn about anyone waiting.

This has ALL the earmarks of a Shuntavious event, and they they won’t release the name of the shooter for a day or so. If it was a shirtless Willy Bob getting hauled away, the media would have been allowed in the ambulance to film it and interview him.

It didn’t occur to me until this AM that it might be an Edguardo event, a recently arrived traveler looking for a better life. The longer they go without naming the guy, the more likely that Ann Coulter will have been right.

The suspect has not been identified. The Georgia Bureau of investigation is working to find out what led to the chase.
