Maxine Waters' politics suck, and it is even possible that she is "dirty" in some way, but this is just her using a daughter as a campaign consultant/contractor over a period of almost two decades.
There is nothing unusual about that, and there is no allegation that the daughter did not perform the work for which she contracted. It is roughly $50k per year or $100k per campaign cycle. In the grand scheme of things, it is a small drop in a large bucket.
Like it or not, it is also entirely legal, and it is done every cycle by politicians Left and Right, R and D.
Should the law be changed? One could certainly so-argue, but I am more concerned by Waters' ideology than by her legal use of one of her offspring as a paid campaign consultant. At least it was campaign expenditures and donors' money.
