You make a good point, but this applies to how women see men as well. The problem is this goes back to Day One.

Right. I'm more sensitive to how this is experienced by women. I think women are reduced to their appearances with more frequency, and more... enthusiasm than men are, but I could be biased.

This ties into the phone call that was released of one of the Cornell 7 claiming that "Jane Doe" was sober when she was at the frat house.

You don't care that women are out there in the wild being valued for their looks instead of their mental acuity or competence or demeanor.

I noted multiple times that whether the claimant here is attractive or not has no bearing on anything, yet multiple posters have requested pictures of her so they could evaluate her claim.

But sure. This is all about me.

ya think? LOL

The idea that women are judged by their parents more than men is so silly it's not even funny because you guys judge men even worse. Women get judged mostly for shite they have some control over. Not to mention the biggest purveyors of these so-called ideal beauty standard are fricking women's magazines published by women and edited by women.

I think the funny part about this accuser and the fact most women have run to support her is the fact that this accuser is exactly the type of woman that almost every one of these so-called supporters would fricking hate with a purple passion if they were around her in real life. And attractive woman that gets the attention of a lot of guys and is just a little bit slutty. If most of these people on the internet supporting her went to school with her they would have fricking hated her or guts

Absolutely.
But my impression of your contention is that because someone is "hot" they are denied that opportunity. My contention is (male or female) opportunities are more prevalent based on "attractiveness."

They may be more likely to be objectified. Being valued more highly as an object of desire doesn't necessarily translate into being treated with greater consideration as a person.

Attractive women are more likely to objectify themselves. If they lead with that and depend on attractiveness to advance their interests, shouldn’t we expect guys to treat them based on how they identify themselves to guys?

I haven’t stated a position on criminal prosecution. I do think the dudes should know better or at least have a little more class when dealing with clearly impaired co-ed…

No expectation for the co-ed to know better or have a little more class?

Not sure why you’re laughing. Cornell is a huge economic engine in that county, and a D.A. Would want a clear cut case to seek an indictment..,

The bar states that not only did they not serve drinks to under 21 (CYA) but most interesting is that they say she worked at the bar at some time after this event took place and that she talked about the event to other employees.

Now, I am getting a little better picture of this girls personality. It seems she is a person that does not have a high level of person discretion and lets everything be out there. Kind of explains how she found herself in this situation and that she discussed it with so many people as though it was normal and everyday drama.

My guess is that if this proceeds to a trial, that the defense is going to have a load of information about her sexual promiscuity to support a defense that she did not say no at any time, and only after the fact decided she did not want it. There has to be some signal or communication to a guy(s) at the time that what is happening is not agreeable or this opens every sexual relationship up to rape trials.

What is your opinion of his office only reviewing the police summary?

or his claim that if the complainant's opinion that she was "100% certain this was rape" had only been included in the summary, he would have proceeded with charges?

He sounds fairly 'marginal' to me ... to be kind.

Also, how do you think Lucy Craig will fair now that James&Co are hellbent to bring a criminal case? You think her team anticipated that?

Highlights of the official university investigation.

quote:

"[REDACTED] was a sober monitor for the party, and [REDACTED] were the fraternity's social chairs at the time. Shortly after Complainant's arrival, [REDACTED] asked Complainant if she would like to engage in a "threesome." Complainant understood this suggestion to be indicative of sexual activity among herself, [REDACTED] and a third person and expressed interest. As of that night, Complainant had strong romantic feelings for and sexual interest in [REDACTED] and had for some time. The two then proceeded to a bedroom on the second floor of the house - belonging to [REDACTED] and University undergraduate student [REDACTED] - known within the fraternity as the "alumni room."

quote:

The furniture in the room at the time consisted of three beds, one loveseat-style couch, and at least one chair. [REDACTED] was present in the alumni room when Complainant and [REDACTED] arrived. No others were present. Complainant and [REDACTED] were friends at the time and had engaged in sexual activity together in the past. After Complainant and [REDACTED] entered the alumni room on October 19, the three parties engaged in sexual activity, for which Complainant provided consent. Specifically, Complainant engaged in oral sex with [REDACTED] on or near the couch, while [REDACTED] engaged in vaginal-penile sex with her from behind (the "threesome activity"). The parties ended the threesome activity after some minutes. At or around that time, the three consumed liquor and smoked marijuana together. Ketamine was introduced among the group, as well, as discussed further in Section IV.B below.

Then they go for another round or two.

Consent to initial threesome was always understood. The question is what happens after the muslim ringleader invites his 60 frat brothers to join. And his failure to tell her at the time and on the phone later. That and the text to her the next day that hes sorry he didn't shut things down and kick people out when things got way out of hand.

He peaced out back to dubai after that was leaked so doubtful muslim mathew will ever be heard from again.

It matters not if she licked special k off muslim mathews arse or stuck a broomhandle up her arse during the threesome. It's a party and all good to that point. Inviting 60 bros to join the party with a single naked female upstairs without telling her. That's the issue. Is it rape? I dont know. It certainly sounds like criminal solicitation and reckless endangerment at a minimum. Maybe aiding sexual battery.

The local da has said the snapchats were withheld from the summary and if whats alleged in lawsuit is true they're in real trouble.

Denied might be too strong. Maybe not considered is more appropriate? Viewed through only one lens. Attractive people are good for only one thing.
