With DeSantis, how can we know if the action will match the rhetoric?

Umm look at his record governing Florida or being a representative?

And I think you put too much trust in Trump. He was supposed to be fiscally responsible and shrink the government for instance but definitely didn’t. The deficit grew under him.

Oh Covid absolutely exploded the deficit, many many times over. But Trump grew it in the years before though

I voted for DJT in '16 and '20 and will do so again if he gets nominated. If it's DeSantis, I would have no problem supporting him. If for some bizzare reason neither get the nod and it's a candidate like Mitt or McCain ... well, I'd probably sit out the election.

Who said I'd be staying home? I voted from Iraq, Afghanistan, HOA, etc. I won't be staying home. I just won't be supporting the only person on the planet who could lose to Joe Biden.

Speaking of idiots.

I cannot imagin a D candidate I could respect.

Any D vote works to return Pelosi and Schumer to their thrones.

Thus R.

Independents are very fickle people with their vote and more times than not, they vote democrat when the rubber meets the road and it’s time to pick a side. Then they ride the fence again until the next election. Wash, rinse, repeat.

In the words of one of the best singer/song writers ever (Alan Jackson), I voted for a Small Town Southern Man in 1976. The only Democrat I have ever voted for (that I can remember). But Republican and Democrat had different meanings back then. My parents were conservative Democrats. Many of them like Eastland and Stennis were conservative Democrats but also staunch segregationists.

The reality is I'd probably vote for any R nominee, unless it was Cheney or Kizinger or something.

No issues voting for Trump, DeSantis, Noem, etc. if it's the only option vs. a D.

We can argue whether that's the right approach in theory, but there hasn't been a major D candidate worth consideration from any conservative in quite some time, so it's not really worth caveating for.

I'll vote for any GOP candidate not named Trump. If it's Trump, I'll sit this one out. Trump is a con man.

Absolutely I will. I didn’t vote for Trump in the 2016 primaries but certainly voted for him in the general and again in 2020. Whomever wins the nomination will have my support.

YES. I will not stay home or vote 3rd party hoping that others do the right thing.

He's a con man who was integral in getting us Dobbs, so that's a useful con man in my book

I would vote for the ghost of Richard Nixon over whomever the Democrats trot out there.

Bruh no he hasn’t. Nobody has been able to link anything showing it and the closest any had to that was an interview he did with Ben Shapiro where he supposedly didn’t outright say it but maybe hinted around the edges that he wouldn’t but again didn’t actually say that though. Unless you have something showing otherwise

Yes. I would not piss in a Democrat's mouth if their heart were on fire. Much less vote for one.
