First comes the communist takeover of the U.S.
Then, a massive arms deal will be struck that will result in alleged worldwide disarmament of nuclear weapons.
This will be almost immediately followed by a massive climate disrupting event like a small comet strike, super-volcanic eruption, etc that will trigger a global depression and massive food shortages.
To combat the food shortages, the communist government will essentially starve out the small cities and rural areas to keep the cities fed enough to quell unrest. This will trigger starvation and insurrection in small cities and rural areas leading to even more disruptions in food supplies.
Then a prolonged decade long intense and bloody civil war will break out in the U.S. that will eventually end in an uneasy armistice as both sides are simply so depleted and destroyed that they barely lack the ability to sustain urban populations let alone continue to wage war.
While this war wages here, the rise of a great Caliphate will sweep the Middle East, uniting the entire Muslim world under a single banner. This united army will forge a massive empire from the Western Sahara to India until a series of embarrassing military defeats in Greece, India, and Israel cause it to fracture along Sunni/Shia lines and plunge into their own massive Civil War.
China and North Korea will take advantage of the chaos everywhere, a distracted India, and the U.S. having pulled the Pacific fleet home to fight a civil war to invade Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea.
And you just know some Nazis are going to pop up somewhere in Europe or South America to try to get in on the fun. Maybe the E.U. will go to war with Britain and Russia? Maybe Mexico will elect a fascist who teams up with Cuba and the northern U.S. to invade the Southern United States in an attempt to finish the Civil War?
All I know is bad things are coming, and it's only going to get much much much worse. And yes, I have been drinking. Why are you asking?

Nah. It’s the big cities that will be starved out first and collapse into murderous zones.
They can’t stop the rural areas like mine from storing and growing their own food. The collapse will be in the big cities as truckers refuse to risk their lives delivering there.
