Cameras aren’t going away. Right now in 2026 it’s become the go to thing to say “Flock” is bad. Which was fomented by lefties. That’s fine. But they aren’t going away the same way you can’t un invent guns. They are tools people want. So enjoy the videos of people cutting down flock cameras and flock being told no by some townships. They’ll just be repackaged in another way. Cops have had license plates readers for years and no one said a word. This is just a spasm in the advancement of technology.

Are we trying to insinuate innocent people throughout the entirety of human existence haven’t been questioned in a criminal investigation?
This phenomenon can only be attributed to flock?

The officer was the problem.
If the tool had been used properly, no one starts a topic with the tool as the hook.
It’s fair to debate the constitutionality of the tool. Let’s focus on the real issue rather than the misuse of it.

The tool creates the possibilities for the abuse. It makes the abuse too easy for LEO, which means the abuse becomes too common.

Because you have an agenda, like a court case, for the jury to hear a witness say “yes flock was used to identify this woman. Thank you that is all.” - to frame it as if this is significantly more likely than being questioned by any number of other investigative methods. The likelihood of being accused at your door is probably close to zero and the likelihood of flock leading to it is also probably close to zero.

The story in OP relies heavily, if not exclusively, on flock to MIS-identify an innocent woman.
Had she not had her doorbell camera, things would have likely ended much differently for her.
