Don't matter though. The morons who watch will run back to the show and continue to believe 100% after the actual network proved them to be liars.
Libs.. remember... you do their work for absolutely free. Even the dumbass protesters have the sense to get paid something. You do it for absolutely free.

I thought he was fired. Why is he still on and more importantly why does he have any authority left to decide who will be on the sappy arse show or not? When we fired people, their desks were emptied with supervision and escorted out by security.

Your thought was wrong. He wasn't fired, Trump just "framed" it that way.
He was told his show would not be renewed when his contract was up in March. The reasons given make little sense... he's number one in that timeslot, and the show makes money despite what CBS claimed. The new owner of CBS is a Trump supporter and seems hostile to the show because Trump hates it. Had Colbert been outright "fired," his contract would have required CBS to pay him a huge amount of money for breaking it.
The actual "ratings" of all TV shows are declining as young people view things differently and don't sit down at 10:30 or whatever to watch an entire show, but Colbert, Kimmel and Fallon still get much higher ratings than anything else on at that time and then get huge streaming numbers over the next day as younger people watch it on those services and youtube. That kicks in another layer of revenue for the shows and network.

Talarico just was blindsided and set up. Nothing will happen to Colbert because he was the setup man. Now Talarico's campaign is in a tailspin and Crockett has the clear path.

What's the basis for this statement? He claims to have raised 2.5 mil since the stunt and is getting a ton of free air time.
99% of the population had no idea who this guy was 48hours ago. Now he's on the AP News site, Colbert's tantrum has been shared hundreds of thousands of times, and Talarico released the interview on the twitters.
