Last week, CNN dropped a full 41 percent in the daytime TV ratings and fell 36 percent in primetime compared to the same week last year.

AdWeek reports, “CNN ranked No. 6 across basic cable in total prime time viewers, and No. 5 in total day this past week. Despite the top 10 finishes, the network was -36 percent in prime time viewers, and -41 percent in total day viewers vs. the same week last year.”
Not only did CNN see a devastating drop from last year’s ratings, the network was once again bested by its competitors. Fox News came in first place with during the day, while MSNBC came in second.

There are a lot of media outlets vying for the sky screamers so it makes sense

I stopped watching cable news for the blatant bias and sensationalism.

How as a major news outlet do you let your viewership drop over 40 percent in 1 year? At some point you have to realize that driving your brand off a cliff in a desperate attempt to get Trump has failed spectacularly. If I were to take over CNN tomorrow, my first order of business would be to fire every last bit of on air talent, the bums they have writing for them and ban every whack job looney left dem they have on as a guest. I’d literally burn CNN to the ground and start over.

I don't know about the rest of the board, but I truly wish that there was at least one station that just reported news and facts, without the bias. Just one.

But there's not. So I get my news from you patriots here

Well in all honesty 41% is probably only 41 viewers at this stage of CNN’s downfall.

Explains why they’re lobbying Big tech companies to censor other outlets. They really believe they’re going to gain more viewers this way. Lol

Yep.

Sadly, the only way CNN can save itself is to become fricking crazier.

Oh no, you can’t do that what would Cum-mo do with all his free time?

He could go fishing with his old man in a boat glued together with Flex Seal would be my suggestion

This is not a Capitalistic company, this is and Anti-Constitution company, they don't care, as far as they are concerned they are nurturing a group to rise to fight when the time is right, my 2 cents.

Not surprisingly, your Breitbart source left out Adweek's explanation.

quote:

During the same same week in 2017, cable news provided wall-to-wall coverage of Hurricane Irma. Significant breaking news stories tend to give CNN a bigger ratings boost than what Fox News or MSNBC traditionally get. The audience drop off for CNN isn’t totally shocking

For those of you with reading comprehension problems, this week last year CNN had unusually high ratings due to Hurricane Irma coverage. So don't put much stock into this.

Of course, Breitbart won't tell you this so you can feel smug about a false narrative.
