I knew this was the actual reason Wallace was leaving to start a podcast. No one wants to listen to his arse.

Believe so.
Trying to make high demands of Musk for a starting position on negotiations didn’t work out like he planned.

quote:I would love to hear a justification for giving these people raises. Their ratings are horrific and without cable bundling CNN would be out of business. In fact when those contracts end CNN likely will be out of business.
high-paid personalities like Jake Tapper and Wolf Blitzer were reportedly recently denied raises.

Corporate media is dying quickly.

I wish ESPN/Disney would do the same.

Saw this morning Wallace is "leaving."
Got to give him credit. He's managed to ride his dad's name for 77 years.

Dozens of viewers will be semi kinda maybe heartbroken.

You are going to see the MSM try to pivot to "alternative" media (namely podcasts) to try to stay alive in that capacity. After the election they were all collectively stunned the people didn't vote the way the MSM "suggested" they vote (which in itself is an admission they are simply a propaganda outfit) and concluded it was because podcasting had more influence than the MSM hubris would allow them to believe. They didn't think their message was rejected by the public. It's just that they didn't get it out through the appropriate medium. So rather than pay the salaries of hundreds of people to produce the current version of MSM, they will now take those funds and try to create podcast or, more likely, attempt to buy podcasters with significant followings.
Chris Wallace essentially said just that when he chose to leave in recent days

Somehow I don’t see him getting a huge Spotify deal like Rogan did.
The fricking janitor from NewsRadio now has more influence than most of the kinds of people they lampooned on that show.

Always get a laugh when I think about CNN+. Nobody was watching the free stuff at the time. Good times…
