once again, that is of federal offenses. the president does not have the power to pardon state crimes. only federal ones. cases can be brought against criminals in multiple jurisdictions.

if the case is stacked enough against flynn or manafort badly enough for where they would need a pardon in FEDERAL COURT (as opposed to actually being innocent of the crime), would it not make sense to you that that evidence would also be enough to convict them in state court as well?

That’s just not true . It can be seen as a confession of guilt or it can be seen as an Executive redress of a wrongful accusation/conviction. Or it can even be a statement that while someone violated the letter of the law, they did not violate the spirit of the law or were not morally culpable ( no intent for instance).

You’re talking to a guy who uses the word “libtard”.

You’re going to have to spell it out for him.

One thing I feel certain of..

This will not be a big name related to Trump. If so they wouldn't need a full weekend to build speculation in the MSM

A major name would be announced early in the week and not need time to build speculation

no. we're talking about a multi-pronged investigation between robert mueller special counsel to the attorney general of the United States (FEDERAL COURT) done in cooperation and concert with Eric Scneiderman, attorney general of new york state (STATE COURT).

this is actual rule of law. if it happens, that way you will understand it.

To crank up leverage to flip them to testify against other targets.

it has been true almost explicitly through the last hundred years. but fine, try to think of it in a different way.

my point about if the case is bad enough to where trump would need to pardon him for federal crimes, then why do you think the case would be weaker when brought at a state level?

But can you get past the leverage of the pardon power of the president depending on how close they are with Trump?

I tend to agree.

The news cycle this week as been an avalanche of bad for democRats.

Muller probably felt pressure to do something stem the tide. Even if it is a minor player.

That really doesn't mean anything.

Lots of Bush republicans have feverently opposed Trump.

Look at Doc Fention in this thread. He's a conservative that loves the hell of Bush and he's all pitchforks and torches after Trump.
