That's not how it works in the federal system. It's all done by computers and a series of tubes.

Now, Geoffrey Fieger got in trouble for something here. I forgot if it was state or federal, but his office would file a bunch of the same case in a row, keep the one with the judge he wanted and dismiss the others.
ETA, I have noticed some weird things after cases are filed, with transfers to other judges.

Imagine being a lawyer and believing that the assignment system can’t be gamed. The Fifth Circuit actively did it during the 60s.

Sure it is, all clerk offices do this. Our entire judiciary is a complete joke and law is not a profession. Law is made up of shysters and images that attempt to push themselves off as intellectuals .

Please do more than talk.

I thought they were pretty open about “judge shopping.” They get their decision baked in.

duh.
They are also leaking draft opinions from SCOTUS without a hint of consequences.

The Corruption is so deep that it is normalized throughout our entire political, government and corporate systems.

"The series of your tubes" probably should have been your clue that he was joking.

I think we are seeing how corrupt the system is at this point, regardless of whether they judge shop or not.

Trump’s a victim again?

And you believe that shite, you obviously have no cognitive skills to not even question the absurdity of that.
What’s even worse is you can’t even for a second admit that this is fishy. You’d fit right in with the Democrats machine until you said something not in alignment with them they’d toss your frickin arse to the curb too , you’re so smart you’d probly wonder why they ditched your arse

This. TDSFP refuses to believe that there are any conspiracies in place to sabotage Trump.

No... He's been treated absolutely fairly and given a fair shot with everything these last 10 years, with no corrupt actions taken at all to sabotage him politically, financially, criminally etc.

The federal courts generally try to assign related cases to the same judge, to avoid duplication of efforts. If I was a betting man, I would bet that the lawyer filing a new anti-Trump case also files a notice identifying one of Boasberg's cases as related. That would give Boasberg discretion whether to take the new case.
