I don't like everything in HR1, but I like what the red states are doing even less. I don't understand why anyone would want to restrict early voting, or cut off voting at 5 PM. Mail in voting can be extremely secure. Add watermarks and serial numbers to the ballots if you want to prevent photocopying. Allow for a copy of the serial number to be kept by the voter so they can verify how their vote was cast if they would like.
