A. A libertarian being against improper use of the criminal justice system, inventing new crimes (when we should have fewer crimes) is on brand.
B. MAGA fans are not arguing for decreasing the power of government ITT. They want to use/expand government power and give it to their in-group. So a discussion on libertarian lines isn't exactly going to be fruitful.

This is where you’re wrong. MAGA absolutely wants to get rid of the NGOs and shrink the government back to its original size.
The Swamp is deep and corrupt. It is a living thing that will protect itself- including using its propaganda arm (the media) to push false narratives to try to keep the sheep under its spell.
