On Sunday, a Lutheran church in New Jersey celebrated the female-to-male transition of a pastor with a renaming ceremony.

This person is created in the image of God, but they didn't like their image of that image, so they are changing to a different image.

Martin Luther would be ashamed to have his name associated with such a "church". A new Reformation is long overdue.

You can rest assured that the congregation of that church votes 100% Democrat.

Democrats need to be institutionalized.

This is just more BS of churches bending to the will of their members as opposed to doing God's will.

This pastor is obviously mentally ill and all about herself.

All are welcome in my church, but we don't go around celebrating people's mental health problems, and we sure as hell don't want an obviously mentally challenged person leading our flock right off the cliff.

Jesus turned water to wine,

now Lutherans are turning women into men.

Hopefully, he would be ashamed no matter what group of Christians named their church after him. We are saved by Jesus Christ and no one else. No Christians should call themselves Lutherans or baptists or catholics etc.

the "not a church" is in a totally depraved condition and to condone this, i would assume a building full of reprobates....let them go, and let the Almighty deal with them....no regeneration for them

Maybe it's the Reunification that is long overdue?

This is what happens when your entire faith is based off a book whose words can be twisted to mean anything you want them to mean if you're clever enough.

True. Luther pointed his "followers" to follow Christ, not himself.

I don't have a problem with the name "Lutherans" because the denomination has to be called something and I believe Luther's opponents were the ones who first called them "Lutherans", so the name stuck. But regardless, he would be ashamed of the perversion of Christianity that exists today.

He was also most probably mentally ill based on what we know about him, a virulent anti-semite and asked for a catholic priest to recant on his deathbed.

His most lasting legacy beyond the reformation are that his writings formed the basis of the Nazi reasoning for the holocaust. He believed the Jews were vermin to be eradicated.

The guy isn't much of a role model.

This thread better not be about a Lutheran Church ... wait, oh frick.

frick-it. I'm done with organized religion.

It's just God and me and my fellow believers from here on out.

No need to spread lies. This Lutheran church appears to be doing a good job of that as it is with its stance on transgenderism.

It's not eroding away, it's being coopted by people with an agenda. Pay attention, these people have learned the best way to change something they do not like is not through direct confrontation but by infiltrating it and changing it from within. Most people in that congregation are too stupid to realize that their enemy planted their flag right there in the middle of the church while they cheered on like a bunch of damn fools. Make no mistake, the church is the enemy of the lgbtukjbscbc community.

It's apparent that if you don't like what The Almighty created, you have choice to recreate the mistake and make it alllll better.
