Satan make sure his homeowners insurance is up to date, because when Donnie dies, he’s gonna knock the bottom out of Hell.

Eh...he cheated on all three wives.

But when you're looking for a President I'm more worried about them being friendly or at least not openly hostile than I am in their personal affairs. The former affects me, the latter not so much.

You don’t understand. It’s the contrast between attacking Christians and Christianity under Biden and Obama as opposed to not demonizing Christians and encouraging them to freely practice their faith. Trump isn’t pushing religion, he’s protecting the citizens’ right to practice it without persecution.

Can you define “fully”, or “not at all?” Or is that up to God?
Fully: having a complete, total, and inerrant understanding of all aspects of a particular teaching/doctrine.

Not at all: being fully ignorant of a particular teaching/doctrine

Excellent. Now, would you say that ffull understanding of any doctrine is necessary for God to grant salvation? Moreover, does not understanding prohibit one from salvation?

Bonus question:
Do you believe in eternal torture/punishment or total/nstant annihilation?

The lies you all tell yourself. Look at his actions and not what he tells you.

Those are the same Christians that are pro choice and believe abortion is not a sin.

No, not a full understanding.

Normally, it does. Having no understanding of the gospel at all, for instance, will mean that a person cannot be saved in most situations. In order to believe that Jesus died to grant forgiveness of our sins requires at least a basic understanding of sin, of salvation, and what Jesus did for us. Intellectual understanding isn't sufficient for saving faith, but you have to have at least some understanding to know what it is you are believing.

I believe the Bible teaches eternal torture/punishment.

This board is fascinating because most proclaim to be Christian and think Trump is a Christian while supporting policies that are not Christ-like at all. It’s quite wild

They weren't and they aren't.....some people will try to use the accusation because they aren't getting their way.....they'll deny that, of course.

Gotcha! Just kidding. I’m not going to argue semantics with you. I know that we both understand. But read what you wrote- it seems to say that one’s salvation is dependent upon one’s ability. Rather, one’s ability (measure of faith) is determined by God. IE having no understanding is (maybe?) evidence that one is not (currently?) saved. Whereas one’s ability to display understanding is (maybe?) evidence of (currently?) being saved?

I don’t know, brother. I’m just trying to be careful. The last thing I want , is for someone to believe in “the gospel of Prodigal Son.” I have full faith in Jesus, and that He will lose none that the Father has given Him. And I think we’re all going to be very surprised at who “they” are.

What? You think Hancock, Franklin and Sam Adams were concerned about the lack of God in civil society? They were pissed about money. They did not see the fight in religious terms.....the Crown was ambivalent to religion....just pay your taxes and don't foment trouble.

Faith without works is dead.

The grace of Christ is what redeems us, but don’t kid yourself, works are necessary and a byproduct of faith.

By their fruits you shall know them.

Before Trump Republican candidates had to pass a purity test by evangelical voters before they could be nominated. MAGA brought in a bigger tent that no longer required republicans to be scrutinized the same as years past. Trump is an unapologetic adulterer, casino owner and has stated in interviews that he doesn’t need forgiveness from God.
He was able to tap into a new generation that simply isn’t as religious as past generations

True. Nothing screams strategy like purity tests in a two-party system. Republicans finally dropped the habit, right when Democrats decided it was their turn to self-sabotage.

Nothing incorrect about your statement. I’d just like to add that most people who play basketball also suck at it. Which is why we don’t judge the greatness of basketball by the way amateurs play it.
