Edit.
. That's 10% lower that it was. It was previously at 25% and raised in response. Because they can not sustain, they are moving it lower..... than the starting point.

So they are moving tariffs back to what they were and that is a victory? I'm confused here. What you are telling me is nothing was accomplished and we lost a bunch of money in the process of the dick measuring to only find out it will remain the same as usual? Nice always winning....

Oh look another person who doesn't understand how a negotiation works. They moved the tariffs up to show they wanted to play hardball and wouldn't negotiate a deal at all. Now, it's back to normal with the prospect of hammering out an even better deal for the US.

Nah that's not what it is. I find that I negotiate quit a bit for my job. Most the time it doesn't result that way. I can tell my sub to go frick off if I don't like his price that he raised on me and find someone else who wants the job. Problem is there is no where else for him to go get a better price.

Yet here he is getting a better price out of the original source, and by 10%.

Read a book bro... or at least all of the post.

Is Donald Trump right that China slaps a 25 percent tariff on American cars?

Trump’s numbers are correct

Trump’s numbers are drawn from American and Chinese government trade data.

The United States does, in fact, pay a 25 percent tariff on cars sent to China, whereas China pays only 2.5 percent on cars coming into the United States

The majority of US cars in China are produced in China via joint venture. Those autos avoid the tariffs altogether, so...

Wrong.Moving down from 25% to 15% is a 40% reduction in the tariff rate.
