Imagine the posts here had Biden been the President that did all this.

There is no right or wrong with most of this board but instead simply Trump good.

Downvote if you agree that you’d be blasting Biden if he were President doing all this.

The board would not be saying this was needed and to be patient. Anything that denies that please say it clearly or just downvote.

So you think our goal with China is the same with Germany is the same with Israel is the same with Romania is the same with Monaco is the same with India....etc., etc., etc.?

That depends on who's talking and when. Hence you get answers from tariff supporters that create yet another goal that's in conflict with what you just claimed.

quote:

Lol, the goal is to have countries pay 10 or more percent in tariffs. This will allow him to take the income taxes off of 90% of US citizens.

It's silly to pretend that any of us know what the true goals are, because one of the main goals requires subterfuge. Nobody here has an inside line so we're left with public comments, which may or may not be bluffs.

But we can look at the comments and determine if two possible goals are exclusive and that's clearly been the case. It's why there are so many tariff topics and why the general answer from the faithful has morphed into "well, it's complicated."

Let’s be honest, Biden wasn’t running the WH.

No, he said just 90% of Americans. What's a populist movement without somebody at the top to scapegoat?

So, smart guy, how would you characterize it. Or is the extent of your cognitive ability to call everyone stupid?

Dammit...... Forgot

I don't mean to criticize someone who is "challenged" like yourself. How are those adult coloring books? Do you need more?

Biden was incapable. Obama was incapable. Bush was incapable. All just political pawns.

That is where your argument falls short.

Let’s be honest again, if this were Biden that wouldn’t matter. He still be blamed and rightfully so.

Of course. That makes total sense.

I made no argument. I stated a fact. Pretty simple.

The DOW 30 is up over 1,300 this morning. Trump's fault.

This is such an odd take forwarded by otherwise thoughtful posters. SMH.

Our path of increasing debt and consumption coupled with decreased manufacturing was/is unsustainable. We have to reset the paradigm.

China is going to cave, they can't afford not to. Damn I guess China has replaced poor Russia as the world's boogeyman.

Their only play is to become a consumer economy and offer their large population up to all nations who need to find a seller for excess production. Attempt to end the concept of a global reserve currency and essentially create a world with two mostly exclusive global economies.

There are so many difficulties in doing that maneuver, not least of which is buy-in from other nations, that I think they only go there if we push them there like Biden pushed Russia into reorienting their economy away from Europe and towards China (which is bad for stability in Europe long term).

You're ignoring a lot of context like 10 years of faux lawsuits, media stories and fake scandals that Trump has been proven right on again & again. Whereas Biden had a 40+ year legacy of grift & corruption that only became more obvious during his presidency.

Neither are perfect, but Trump's earned significantly more benefit of the doubt & this is what it looks like

Ya dummy

They don’t know the goal.

That’s convenient though so no matter what happens Gumbros can say “see, told ya so”.
