In situations like this, it is important you do not become an idiot and say "immigrants" when the crime was committed by an "illegal immigrant". Two different things and since only Texas tracks legal status of immigrants who commit crimes, there is no way for you to know anything of that. Interesting to know though, in the one state they do track immigration status of criminals, illegals commit crimes greater than natural born citizens.

They index this non existent data against the data collected for citizens and voila......illegals commit less crime. Ironically the data collected for citizens also includes the illegals which only compounds the index
They also pay taxes, then file with earned income tax credit and get back more money than they put in the system because they get to collect their employer piece as well.......but they did "pay" taxes.
