Economic growth probably surged last quarter. If so, expect President Trump and his supporters to crow that Trumponomics has been validated at last. But that probably is the exact opposite lesson Trump, and everyone else, should take from the numbers.

Everyone has taken a look at the numbers, and only butthurt liberals and Chamber of Commerce cucks like senator Corker are complaining.

I saw one from the NYT in here yesterday claiming that the economy was growing “too fast”. These are the same people who excused away Obama’s historically poor recovery performance.

Obama 2014 had a quarter with 5% GDP growth, better than Trump now.

Sweet cherry picking of facts. Care to discuss what his overall GDP growth rate was?

Yeah, it dropped from 5.2 in the third quarter all the way down to 2.0 the next quarter. I'm not sure I would be glorifying that 5.2 too much.

Here's a good link for GDPs since 2011:

That’s not how it works there bud. He had a quarter of 1.25% growth, which extrapolated out to 5% annual growth, if it continued. It did not. So in reality he just had a good quarter. That’s it.

Check out my link. Look at the steady numbers of Trump, excluding the first quarter of '17 which wasn't all on him, and Obama's yoyo numbers over his tenure. A distinct difference.

Yes and never a full year with 3% growth (the only president in history never to hit 3% even once in his term). Trump is on the path right now to hit over 3% for this year.

Also, the Obama people told us that 2% was the new normal and would be forever.

Actually, they are being logically consistent with their position. During Obama's rotten economy the line was '1% is the new normal.' Therefore, Trump's 4% = 'abnormal.' We don't want an abnormal economy, do we?

Obama had a quarter of -0.9% growth in 2014. Was that what you meant?

And what about the other 31 quarters? Why wasn't at least 3% sustained over the long term?

I know the answer, and you know the answer, but I doubt you will acknowledge it.
