As prior military I 100% agree. There are other times you can take a knee the anthem isn’t it.
On a side note how can anyone hate drew? The man gave so much after Katrina to help rebuild New Orleans. He is constantly giving to charity and underprivileged kids. Just this week he donated 5 million to provide meals to people dealing with covid. Most of these athletes that are slamming him have never donate or given there time like Drew has.

The NFL may not want to frick around with this political bs. People have gone so long without sports, they may not come back if they feel targeted

Wish he would run for mayor. I don’t know if he’d run as a Republican, but even if he did he probably could be the only R candidate that would ever win in Nola

After he retires, Drew is not staying in Louisiana. Period. He doesn't even live in New Orleans year round and he spends the offseason in San Diego.
He will retire to California or Florida.
Only reason he may ever come back to Louisiana regularly is if any of his sons play football and commit to LSU.
