Where did his team say he was wearing a vest? Can someone answer that?

The title of your thread implies that if he wasn’t wearing vest he might have survived.
The title is poorly worded. Title should read, "Good video explaining the vest theory". Or, something like that.

There is an angle on that metallic vest. Angle enough to reduce the fracture size enough that the round was basically still intact at entry. Maybe 5-10 feet beyond it would have been more spread out but not at 8”.

This was discussed y-day.
He absolutely was not wearing a vest or a plate carrier.

Yes you can. And in the video frames from 8:27 to 8:30 show the initial impact. Bullet then rotates causing larger than usual entry wound.
That shows me nothing.
Here is what a vest/ clothing look like after getting shot. Do you see how large these holes are?

Yes. And top right of that vest show some very tiny holes. And that’s only a picture of that vest ballistics. Not the clothing that would be on top. The hole in the shirt is clearly there in the video. Sorry you can’t see.

That's not a hole in his shirt. It's blood from the shirt touching the wound before falling back into place.

Did you even watch the vid? That's not the type he said he was wearing. So many experts on here haven't event attempted to watch what is being said in the source material. .....i.e. OP's video.

When did plates start coming with nipples...

Nope. Shirt never makes it that high on his neck. Not a contact smear.

You can see Charlie's chest with each pec outlined clearly. The under-shirt profile does not look like like the plate. It looks like a guy's chest.
Yep, you can see his nips from every angle. That bullet at 200 yards is still traveling over twice the speed of sound. Its the shockwave that pushed his shirt up.

Every vest has shoulder straps, where are those? Every plate is designed to cover vital organs, his chest wouldn’t be exposed. Every vest is designed to fit tightly to the body, not be loose fitting.
A bullet striking the edge of a plate will cause trauma to the surrounding area, but he has no chest wounds. Most modern expensive plates have anti spalling coating.

Either this picture was doctored, or he was not wearing body armor. End of story.

It's the special Batman Commemorative model.

if he was hit in the neck wouldn't the shock wave push his collar down? not up?
all I know. when I watched the very first video that was from far away. I thought he was shot in the upper chest.

Correct. That is blood. He was wearing a chain around his neck with a cross on it tucked inside his shirt. Plus he had a wire going across his chest to a small lapel mic to record audio for his livestream listeners.
The outline in the video is either his chain under his shirt or the mic wire.
Plus several photos of him that day where his physique is clearly visible under his shirt. Pecs, nipples, his cross hanging from his chain.

If I’m wrong I’ll admit I’m wrong, but these threads are full of confirmation bias. Where is evidence his team said he was wearing a vest?

Fast traveling projectiles push air in front of them, but they also pull air behind them creating a vacuum effect. What you are seeing is his shirt being pulled up behind the projectile.

At the risk of sounding like the most evil lady on the planet, what difference does it make?
