There’s not that much drop for a 5.56 or a .308 in 200 yards, and a competent shooter would take drop into account. The shooter may have pulled the shot or when Charlie sat up he pulled the trigger, hitting neck rather than head. Or the shooter could have been aiming for his neck.
Who knows. It’s horrible.

Not claiming to be an expert by any means but I used to do the job in the Army. You can see the bullet impact slightly before the sound. Meaning within 200 yards or so. My guess is a 5.56 or .308 at that range slight drop with a lightly experienced shooter. Suppressed rounds generally don’t have that loud of a crack but I’m seeing it was in some kind of amphitheater? Looked like a FMJ round impact.
